There is a new Beer Lounge in town

Founded in 2012 by Danish brewery Indslev, they wanted to make bold, high-quality beers, so they built the Ugly Duck lab and continued to deft the norms and push the limits of Danish brewing.
We are thrilled to be collaborating with Ugly Duck Brewing and brining their award-winning beers to our hotel.

To celebrate this union, we have transformed one of our lounge areas into all things pink! We have taken inspiration from their Miami Vice Pale Ale, a no bullshit beer.
“You’ve got to know the rules before you can break’em. Otherwise, it’s no fun”

We have also Ducked out our beer garden with an outdoor draft beer bar. The outdoor Duck Bar will be closed until the Spring 2023. Come by, grab a beer and hangout in our Miami Lounge during the Fall/Winter season.
Follow us on Instagram to find out when new Ugly Duck beers will be in stock.

MIAMI VICE – PALE ALE

Drink this beer like Crockett and Tubbs would have in our favorite TV series of all time; Miami Vice. Our two favorite cops famous for trying to balance the crime scales are at it once again – this time fighting off bad brews with their fresh citrusy hop and grain blend, providing that much needed calm and fruity taste. This beautiful pale ale is our tribute to the series that ran from 1984-1990. In our opinion probably the greatest TV show ever made in the history of TV!

CALLISTA MOON – PILSNER

Callista, in Greek, means “most beautiful”. Imagine this divine beauty and then compare it to the male form of the word: Callisto, which actually is the second-largest moon of Jupiter. With this comparison, you have the most beautiful moon. Callista is also the name of a really nice balanced hop with impressive fruity aromas of peach, apricot and red berries.
We packed this pilsner with Callista hops to give you a refreshing taste with that noble German hop character combined with delicious fruitiness. We can`t find any other way to describe this little pretty Ugly Duck as Callista – the most beautiful.

CRUMBLE – BROWN ALE

“Brown ale you say!?! I don’t drink brown ales, they are sooo last christmas!!”. What about crisp biscuity malts, nutty toastiness and a roasty chocolate finish? “Hmm, cloyingly sweet I’m sure!” With enough bitterness from hops and roasted malts to balance and add some spice and fruit. “And mouthfeel…?” Think creaminess from a huge oat addition, like a rich toasty hazelnut crumble!!” “Nah, I want an IPA.”

VINYL SNOB
– (PASSIONFRUIT) FRUITED GOSE

– Seasonal brew
Much like the vinyl snob, the beer snob wants to embrace the true uncompressed analogue experience. No watered down fizzy drinks with artificial bubble gum aromas. And even more like the vinyl snob, the beer snob loves to dwelve in topics and terms like kettle souring, lactic acid bacteria and fruit purées. Snobs are cool!! This beer was kettle soured, then fermented with a huge dose of PASSIONFRUIT puré and lightly spiced with seasalt to bring you a juicy, tart and refresh-ing beer. Enjoy whether you´re a snob or not.

Malt: Pilsner, caramel, wheat, oats
Hops: Citra

Alcohol: 4,2%

Snake driver – NEIPA

Sometimes you need a catchy name for a new hoppy beer. What about the title of a sleazy and bluesy shoegaze song from the wastelands of East Kilbride, which also happens to be the nickname of the pilots flying the cobra attack helicopters in Vietnam during the summer of 67? We think it qualifies. Regardless the name, this is a pure hop octane relying on the likes of Simcoe, Azacca, Mosaic and Citra. And lots of it! A full-bodied, yet crushable juice bomb to boost your smile with a wall-to-wall hop vibrancy.

Malts: Pilsner, caramel, oats
Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Azacca, Mosaic

Type of beer: New England Double IPA
Alcohol: 8%
IBU: 60

Sour beer – Cerasus
– Barrelaged Cherry

37,50 cl. small champagne bottles

This beer pours a beautiful crimson red with an inviting pink head. There is a slight acidic sharpness on the nose that quickly gives way to a full-on cherry assault, which carries over into the first sip. There are still traces of tannins and funk from the long Brettanomyces fermentation and maturation in oak, but it becomes clear that the cherries are the star of this show. We took 500 litres of our oak foudre fermented Flanders red and let it ferment yet again upon 120 kg of sour cherries. After 3 months of wild fermentation and maturation we present this beautiful beer with a delicious tart cherry flavor, a mild acid level and a fairly dry finish.

Alcohol: 7,2 %
Batch: 001
No of bottles: 1390
Time in barrels: 24 months
Titratable Acidity: 12,3 g/L

Sour beer – Lepus
-Barrelaged Saison

37,50 cl. small champagne bottles

This third batch of Lepus is a brett´dsaison matured for 18 months in red wine barrels. This long slumber on oak refines the fruity, spicy and earthy yeast notes and gives the beer a soft light and refreshing acidity. This highly carbonated and straw coloured beer is almost like a white wine with its oak signature and dry finish. With a high attenuation and zesty tartness this beer accompanies food brilliantly, but also works well as a thirst quencher after hard work in the field like back in the day.

Sour beer – Phoenix
-BARRELAGED RASPBERRY

37,50 cl. small champagne bottles

This beer has history. Go back 36 months and we are filling used red wine barrels with a golden sour primary fermented with mixed cultures of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus. Six months ago we brought 400 litre beer on 100 kg raspberries and left it for a 2 month secondary wild fermentation and maturation before bottling. The result is a crisp, bright red beer with huge flavours of raspberries, bracing acidity, light funk and a refreshing finish. Like a phoenix in the fire flame!
