Sustainability

We believe that we must all work together to ensure a sustainable future. We are working on several initiatives aimed at bringing about positive environmental change.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Hotel Mayfair we welcome everyone. We hire based upon personality, attitude and the willingness to learn. Our Mission is to create a workplace where everyone feels included and can be 100% themselves. We believe that this will help provide our guests with the best possible experience while staying with us. We are committed to working to improve diversity and inclusion everyday.

We believe that people from different backgrounds and ethnicity can bring valuable insights and create innovative, useful ways of working.

Today we have a team of 40 employees from 17 different countries and backgrounds, 18 men and 22 women. Our average age throughout the hotel is 32 years old, with the youngest being 19 and the oldest being 61. When hired we make sure to go through our “Playbook”, so all new employees are aware of these polices and what our goals and values are. Our main goal is to create a relaxed atmosphere where our guests and colleagues can feel comfortable to be themselves, while still providing a professional, high level of service. Our main value is to have room for everyone. We treat everyone the same; your personality and ideas are important to us. As we would like all our staff to be as comfortable as possible and be 100% themselves, we believe that it is important not to ask our staff to wear uniforms. This allows our staff to go to work and be free to be themselves everyday. We encourage new and different perspectives by holding annual “Staff Days” in various subjects, where we put work culture and service on the agenda. With having a diverse and inclusive workplace, we get to provide our guests with the best possible experience, and we all gain a better understanding in diversity and what it means to provide a high-quality service.

As our main value is that we have room for everyone and to make sure that we have an inclusive and “welcome to all guests” environment, we are working towards being able to provide 100% of the facilities and services that support special needs. We work with the Copenhagen Municipality to help locals get back into working after being on stress leave.

recruitment goal for 2024

Our goal for 2024 is to further strengthen our relationship with the municipality to be able to help even more people to get back in the labour market. We aim to achieve full representation from all age groups, with the vision to reach 10% in each age bracket.
